it started with snow

Powder Therapy derived from a terrible road trip experience to the mountains. Everything that could go possibly wrong did and as I approached the mountains, all the inconveniences I encountered seemed to fade. With the more elevation I gained, the more snow I saw, the countless hours I spent sleeping in my vehicle or being outside in well below freezing temps all vanished.

Being in the mountains, or on the snow for that matter, makes every bit of stress disappear. There is nothing more relaxing and healing for my soul than the days spent on the snow where there doesn't seem to be a care in the world except for living in that moment; experiencing the beauty, peace and weightlessness that is right in front of you.

For me creating this lifestyle brand is all about developing that deeper connection with yourself and bringing a family together.  It doesn't matter what your passion is, at the end of the day we all have one thing in common, snow.  As the world evolves we get more tied up in the craziness of life, but at the end of the day we dream about those bluebird days and fresh powder to ease the soul and take a step back to just admire the quietness.

After years of practice, Romy has found that gently taming and suggesting shape yields the most elegant results. Even when she started small with wallets back in 1987, she always matched her meticulousness with curiosity. Travelling around the globe, she has studied various techniques and designs that have helped her cultivate a singular yet international style. Today, she has a few apprentices of her own and spends most of her time crafting with them in her Montréal studio. She still makes time to learn new techniques and exhibits at tradeshows all around the world.
